Please Donate to Help Hazel See Again--she Can't Open Her Eyes!

Hazel is a 30 lb. scruffy terrier girl who has a condition called "entropion." It's painful--her eyelids/eyelashes turn inward and scrape against her corneas. Without surgery, her eyes will be permanently damaged and ultimately she will lose sight. To protect herself, she keeps her eyes closed and rolls on her back in a submissive position. In this photo, you can see some of the ever-present drainage in her eyes. She is exceptionally sweet but nervous because she is in pain and doesn't dare open her eyes due to pain. With surgery and appropriate aftercare, she should do beautifully. She's at the vet's right now, waiting on Last Chance Dog Rescue to raise enough funds to help her regain her sight.

With expert (and lengthy) vet care, the fungal infection that was ravaging her face was stopped and though no one thought her fur would grow back...guess what? IT'S GROWING BACK! It may not come back completely, but she's gorgeous anyway!! A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED AND SAVED MAXIE!
