Sweet, Low Maintenance Stella Needs New Home!

Stella is a beloved member of a family that recently had children—the kids are now toddlers and it turns out they make Stella quite nervous. She no longer enjoys her life and is a bit depressed. The family is heartbroken but feels that Stella deserves a home where she can be relaxed and comfortable. It is with a heavy heart they’ve decided to re-home her, but they love Stella enough to know this great dog deserves a life of happiness. She would be great for anyone without young children. She is an excellent watch dog. Stella only barks at people, so the family always pays attention when she barks. She loves sleeping in her dog bed beside their bed at night. She is somewhat of an independent dog, but she loves attention too. Whether they’re gone for 5 minutes or 5 hours, she gives them the best greeting at their door! She is an inside dog, but enjoys going outside to play. She loves walks, chasing squirrels, car rides, and travels well. She doesn't need a lot of exercise because her favorite past time is lying around. She gets along well with other dogs. Behavior around cats unknown. She is up to date on her shots, is spayed, and microchipped. She has been on Frontline Plus for flea prevention and Interceptor for heartworm prevention. She is a 7 year old heeler mix and she is about 80 pounds. She has the most unique "heart-shaped" patch on the right side of her body.
