ABBY: Border Collie/Heeler

Abby is 2 years old, weighs approx. 50 pounds, and is a Border Collie/Australian Cattle dog (Heeler) mix. EXCELLENT FAMILY DOG!!!! "Inside dog" only, but does need room to play outside, MUST HAVE 6 FOOT FENCE MINIMUM. She can jump a 4 ft. fence easily. No underground or electric fences. LOVES KIDS!! Abby is HIGHLY intelligent and truly enjoys learning. Given her high drive, herding instinct, and ability to out-think most people, you shouldn't adopt Abby if you are a couch potato...herding breeds need stimulation. Abby is outgoing and social, she loves interaction with people and likes to be the center of attention. She is affectionate and just wants someone to give her love. TRIES TO HERD CATS, and cats don't appreciate that, so best in home with no cats. Loves to run, and will chase a ball as long as you throw it (and yes, she always brings it back to you). Abby loves PLAYING FETCH! Abby needs exercise--herding breeds need 45 minutes to an hour exercise each day. Abby is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, microchipped. She is both crate trained AND house trained. LOCATED IN BIRMINGHAM, AL.
