Sable the Sweet Little Pup
Sweet Sable is a five month old pup who found herself alone on an abandoned county road used as a dumping ground for garbage, and apparently, unwanted litters of puppies. Sable was the sole survivor. She is a beautiful dog: we named her Sable because her coat is a two-tone chocolate blend that shines beautifully in the light. She appears to be a cross between a Chocolate Labrador Retriever and some type of bulldog breed. Her ears sit comically high atop her head, which gives her a very curious, inquisitive expression. She is one of the smartest puppies we’ve ever known---she has a perfect memory. She saw me put some dog treats high in a cabinet last week, and every day she sits in front of that cabinet, looking at me, then back to the cabinet, as if to say “I know they’re in there. I SAW you put them there. Please give them to me.” Sable is such a clown: playful, loving, a real joy. She is becoming an excellent dog, highly trainable. She enjoys playing with other dogs, is crate trained, and is moving quickly toward being completely housebroken. She is fully vetted: all shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped. She is delightful, and in no time at all, she stole our hearts….I’m sure she’d do the same to you.
