Beautiful Ruby: Duck Tolling Retriever

She is spayed, healthy, up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative and taking heartworm prevention. She is housetrained and crate trained. Ruby's owner passed away and the family members surrendered Ruby to the shelter. Ruby has gone through many changes and new faces this summer. She prefers her crate to new experiences. It may be that the crate is the only place she feels secure. We believe she may be grieving some for the loss of her owner and her home. She is a quiet dog with a gentle spirit. She needs a loving home with someone who will show her human companionship and give her the security she desperately needs. She is great around other animals and people, but she is not lively, active, or affectionate. We feel confident that she will become more active and affectionate with the right owner. A fenced yard and small kiddy pool required. Ruby loves water. Ruby is currently living in the Birmingham Alabama area.
