ABBY THE ATHLETE---great agility dog potential!

Abby is nine months old, weighs 41 pounds, is an Australian cattle dog/Labrador mix. Spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative. She is extremely smart and truly enjoys learning. Since we rescued her, she has learned to sit, shake hands, stay, and keep a two foot barrier between herself and our cats (we taught her that, the cats didn’t). She is observant, doesn’t miss a thing. If you enjoy training dogs, this one will bring you great joy. SHE LIVES TO PLEASE.Abby is strong, fast, would be an EXCELLENT agility dog. She is NOT AGGRESSIVE. We have two children, and they play with Abby for HOURS every day. This is a very intelligent dog, she knows how to adapt her playfulness to make sure she isn't rough with children, and she amps it up when playing with our huge black lab. She knows how to size up a situation. She's athletic, 6 ft. fenced yard is an ABSOLUTE MUST. Abby is not the kind of dog who would do well in a home where she would get only occasional attention and infrequent play. She sees herself as a full family member, thrives on companionship. She is a "best friend" type of dog. Likes to sleep next to you, sit beside you, go for rides with you, take hikes/go for walks together. She has a huge heart and will make you the center of her world.

Background: abandoned in south Alabama two months ago, found with a sheet of ice on her fur. Good Samaritan took her in, got into a car accident, and could no longer care for Abby. Her foster family loves her very much, but realizes Abby needs her very own forever home. She deserves the best. ABBY IS LOCATED IN BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA. WE WILL TRANSPORT TO GREAT FOREVER HOME.
